The reporter learned from the Ministry of Land and Resources on the 18th that the "Special Rectification Action Plan for the Development of Rare Earth Minerals and Other Minerals" has been reviewed by the department and passed in principle.
The relevant person in charge of the Ministry of Land and Resources stated that the central government attaches great importance to the protection and rational development and utilization of rare earth, tungsten, tin, antimony, molybdenum, high alumina clay, fluorite and other mineral resources. Random mining and other behaviors are still repeatedly prohibited in some areas, the problems are prominent, the macro-control measures are difficult to effectively implement, and the problem of unreasonable industrial structure has not been effectively solved.
"In order to solve the outstanding problems in the current exploration and exploitation of rare earth minerals, it is necessary to carry out special rectification actions for the development order of rare earth minerals," said the person in charge.
According to the requirements, the special rectification action should also standardize the exploration and mining behavior and strictly control the total amount of mining by means of publicizing cases, stopping the assignment of mining rights, and investigating and informing the responsibilities of relevant personnel.
In addition, the reporter also learned that the preparation of the national mineral resources development integration implementation plan has been basically completed. According to preliminary statistics, up to now, 28 provinces (autonomous regions and municipalities) have completed the preparation of integration implementation plans, except for Beijing, Shanghai and Tianjin.
